One of our reputed clients in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a qualified Accountant to manage the overall financial accounts and day-to-day bookkeeping of a small company.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Produce and analyze year-end financial accounts and liaise with auditors; prepare statutory accounts.
• Produce monthly management accounts and ad-hoc reports as required.
• Review, update, and implement existing internal accounting systems; introduce new systems and controls where appropriate.
• Maintain computerized accounting software, ensure adequate third-party support, and upgrade the software as needed.
• Monitor all company expenditures and make recommendations to individuals and teams responsible for budgets.
• Maintain the General Ledger; set up new accounts and cost centers; ensure reconciliation of control accounts; allocate expenditures correctly.
• Process supplier invoices accurately and manage the Purchase Ledger.
• Raise sales invoices, process receipts, and manage all aspects of credit control in the Sales Ledger.
• Manage all company bank accounts; ensure adequate funds for expenditures.
• Perform any other activities related to the financial management of the company.

• Accounting Degree or equivalent; part-qualified accountants or those with experience are encouraged to apply.
• Must have worked or trained in Public Practice. CPA qualification is an advantage.
• Highly organized, able to work constructively under pressure.
• Strong communication, situation management, and IT skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Working knowledge of Tally or other general accounting software.
• Specific accounting skills: recording financial information, preparing monthly accounts, processing payments, administering petty cash, monitoring budgets.
